Silent Auction FAQ Page

 

Where is the event located? The silent auction is at Marion Elementary in the cafeteria.           

 

Where will I be able to eat?  After purchase, food and drinks are restricted to the cafeteria seating.            

Can I buy items immediately? Some items will have options for a “buy now” price. If you want to purchase immediately, you will be able to do so.

 

When can I get my items I win a bid on? The silent auction concludes at 6:30 pm, at that time volunteers will be working hard to figure out all the winning bids.  If you are still in the building, we can give the items to you then.  If you have already left the building, we will give you a call and you can either come back that night or we can make arrangements to get the items to you.  

 

How much is the minimum I have to bid? Depends on the item up for bid. Each item is specific for the price.

 

Do I have to pay tax on the item?  If you pay for the items the night of March 5th, you do not have to pay tax.  If pay for the items the following days, you will be charged sales tax of 8.25%. This is due to PTA declaring March 5, 2020 as a tax free day in accordance with the state of Texas non-profit tax guidelines. 

 

Will I have time to visit my child's classroom, and Silent Auction?  Yes, Open House is from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm,  and Silent Auction as 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm.

 

Will you have discounted spirit wear and class shirts again?  Yes, we will have any leftover current year spirit wear for $10.00 and class shirts for $5.00

 

Do I have to have a student in Marion to be able to come to the Silent Auction? No, family and friends are welcome to join Marion families.
